This Week in High School Sports: 9/30/16

The latest edition of "This Week In High School Sports" features the Grand Rapids South Christian boys soccer team's defensive prowess, a Be The Referee segment on how officials prepare for games, and finishes with an MHSAA Perspective on the many worthy causes Michigan students embrace and support through their athletic teams.

The 5-minute program, powered by MI Student Aid, leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or network affiliates. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show; and is followed by a closing MHSAA "Perspective."

This week's show features a pair of Michigan radio stations both in their 77th year of broadcasting high school games, presents a "You Make the Call" in the "Be The Referee" segment and concludes with an "MHSAA Perspective" on the importance of radio broadcasts to educational athletics.
