The debut edition of "This Week In High School Sports" for 2016-17 features the Haslett High School football team, addresses rules changes in the free blocking zone in football and discusses multiple-sport participation and sportsmanship.
The 5-minute program, powered by MI Student Aid, leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or network affiliates. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show; and is followed by a closing MHSAA "Perspective."

This week's edition previews the selection of this season's field for the MHSAA Football Playoffs, presents Game Balls to standouts in volleyball and football, explains shootout rules for soccer and concludes with a rundown of last week's champions in Lower Peninsula girls golf and boys tennis.
The 5-minute program each week includes feature stories from MHSAA.com or network affiliates, along with "Be the Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating.
