This edition of "This Week In High School Sports" talks about the now-annual MHSAA Battle of the Fans competition, passes out Sparrow Health Game Balls and finishes with a commentary on the importance of glorifying we over me in athletic competition.
This Week In High School Sports will lead each show with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or from network affiliated stories and interviews. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, highlights the middle of the show and is followed by a closing "Perspective."

This Week In High School Sports: 10/9/20

This edition features Grand Rapids Union football breaking its 45-game losing streak, presents Game Balls to the Bloomfield Hills Marian girls golf and Berrrien Springs boys tennis teams, discusses a football rule change aimed at curbing a form of gamesmanship and concludes with a salute to the first MHSAA Finals champions of the 2020-21 school year.
The 5-minute program leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or network affiliates. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show and is followed by a closing MHSAA "Perspective."
