This Week in High School Sports: 9/15/17
September 15, 2017
This week’s show features an act of great sportsmanship by St. Johns' Taryn Chapko toward Jillian Lange of Goodrich in a recent nighttime girls cross country meet, passes out Game Balls to Brighton’s Celia Cullen, and Trevor Johns and Bryson Jensen from Manistee; discusses why it’s a good idea for retired referees to stay registered in the "Be The Referee" segment and closes with a commentary on sportsmanship.
The 5-minute program, powered by MI Student Aid, leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or network affiliates. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show and is followed by a closing MHSAA "Perspective."
