Perspective: What Matters Most

January 5, 2015

In this week's edition of MHSAA Perspective, John Johnson talks about what matters most, recognizing local athletes and their accomplishments, when it comes to media coverage of high school sports.

Now in its 10th season, the radio commentary MHSAA Perspective – presented by the Michigan Army National Guard – airs on over 80 radio stations and audio outlets across the state, generally during the local broadcasts of high school games. This Week in High School Sports: 8/21/18

August 21, 2018

"This Week in High School Sports" returns with a feature on new Lansing Everett football coach Mike Smith, presents Game Balls to the boys tennis team at Traverse City Central and the girls tennis teams at Ishpeming Westwood and Iron River West Iron County, addresses football rules changes for 2018 during "Be The Referee" and concludes with an "MHSAA Perspective" about the transition of executive directors at the Association and how little critics really know about the organization and how it works.

The 5-minute program, powered by MI Student Aid, leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or network affiliates. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show and is followed by a closing MHSAA "Perspective."
