This Week in High School Sports: 9/8/17

September 8, 2017

This latest edition of "This Week In High School Sports" features Watervliet football quarterback Zach Pickens, who passed for five touchdowns and ran for four more last week against Buchanan; passes out Game Balls to Lincoln Alcona boys soccer goalie Connor McCoy and Alexis Carras from the girls golf team at Midland Dow and closes with a commentary on a recent National Federation resolution designating fall Friday night as “High School Football Night” in America.

The 5-minute program, powered by MI Student Aid, leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or network affiliates. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show and is followed by a closing MHSAA "Perspective."
