Coverage of MHSAA championship events by Fox Sports Detroit and the MHSAA Network continues this weekend with live streams and television broadcasts from the Ice Hockey and Lower Peninsula Boys Swimming and Diving Finals.

All hockey Semifinals, beginning Thursday, will be streamed live both at FoxSportsDetroit.com and MHSAA.tv. Saturday's Division 2 and 3 Hockey Finals will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Detroit Plus, but the Division1 Final will be streamed live on FoxSportsDetroit.com.

All three Lower Peninsula Swimming and Diving Finals also will be streamed live at FoxSportsDetroit.com and MHSAA.tv on Saturday. And check out archived broadcasts of the Competitive Cheer and Individual Wrestling Finals on MHSAA.tv, as well as some of these student-produced games listed below:

Saturday's Marysville vs. Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood Regional hockey game.
Thursday's Portage Central vs. Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern/Eastern Regional hockey game.
Friday's South Lyon vs. Linden District girls basketball game.
Friday's Trenton vs. Brownstown Woodhaven District girls basketball game.

Broadcasts Back on MHSAA.TV, FSD

The new school year begins on the MHSAA Network this week with school-created content on MHSAA.tv, the season launch of MHSAA Football Friday Overtime on FOX Sports Detroit, and a new season of MHSAA Perspective on a statewide radio network.

MHSAA.tv: The School Broadcast Program gives member schools an opportunity to create video programming, with students gaining skills in announcing, camera operation, and graphics using software provided by PlayOn! Sports. The program also gives schools the opportunity to raise money through advertising and viewing subscriptions. As many as 60 MHSAA member schools annually participate in the program, which is in its fifth year.

Here’s the schedule of School Broadcast Program members planning to cover Week One football games, some of which will be available at MHSAA.tv shortly after each game’s conclusion (as of Aug. 27):

Schools interested in becoming a part of the School Broadcast Program should contact John Johnson at the MHSAA Office.

Friday Football Overtime: Beginning this Friday and running for 13 weeks at Midnight is MHSAA Football Friday Overtime on FOX Sports Detroit. Mickey York and Rob Rubick return to host the weekly 30-minute highlights show.

The following games are scheduled to be highlighted this week on Football Friday Overtime:

  • Dearborn Fordson vs. Macomb Dakota
  • St. Charles at Flint Hamady
