A pair of coaching milestones highlighted Monday’s statewide action as teams began to shake off the rest of their spring break cobwebs and prepare for a big finish to this school year.

Girls Soccer
Alpena’s 8-0 victory over Oscoda was the 1,000th for Tim Storch as a high school soccer coach – Alpena News
Brighton downed Northville 2-0 in a matchup of frequent Division 1 state powers – Livingston Daily Press & Argus
Softball
Saginaw Swan Valley, No. 3 in Division 2, continued its strong start with a sweep of Hemlock – Saginaw News

1. WRESTLING Division 1 No. 10 Clarkston clinched a third-consecutive Oakland Activities Association Red championship with a 36-32 win over No. 4 Oxford – Oakland Press
2. HOCKEY Division 2 No. 6 White Lake Lakeland earned a share of a fourth-straight Lakes Valley Conference title by downing Fenton/Linden 10-2 – Oakland Press
