The last Finals of the 2015 MHSAA fall season were played Saturday at Ford Field, and as of this morning teams in six winter sports are allowed to begin competition.
Below is a blend of something from the weekend and a few winter headlines as well.
Football

1. SOFTBALL Reigning Division 3 champion and top-ranked Millington and 2022 Division 4 champion and current No. 1 Unionville-Sebewaing split a doubleheader – WJRT
2. GIRLS SOCCER Midland shut out Division 3 No. 2 Flint Powers Catholic 2-0 – Mid-Michigan Now
3. GIRLS SOCCER Mari DellaVecchia scored both goals as Hamilton downed Division 3 No. 11 Holland Christian 2-1 – Holland Sentinel
4. BASEBALL No. 10 Buchanan won the first game but Dowagiac defeated the reigning Division 3 champion in the second – Niles Daily Star

8. TRACK & FIELD Saugatuck’s boys tied Martin at 68 to keep a decade-long unbeaten streak intact – Holland Sentinel
