Boys Basketball
In a Monday matchup of unbeaten teams, Lake Linden-Hubbell got past Chassell 65-48 with a pair of players combining to score 52 of those points – Houghton Daily Mining Gazette
Bowling
From Sunday, Jackson’s girls won the Battle of the Baker tournament at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek, beating Hartland 2-0 in the final match – Jackson Citizen-Patriot
From Saturday, Grand Haven’s teams swept the Fruitport Invitational after both qualified third to start the event but dominated the Baker games – Grand Haven Tribune
Skiing
The season got off to a late start, but there’s plenty of snow now and the Harbor Springs girls took advantage by winning the opening Grayling Invitational at Schuss Mountain – Petoskey News

This fall, Plymouth fifth-grader Connor “Sunshine” Sherman, with the help of the Plymouth High football program, put on the second Sunshine’s Skills and Drills Football Clinic for children with special needs. 1. GIRLS BASKETBALL Vicksburg continued the longest MHSAA Tournament run in its history by clinching its first Regional championship with a 49-34 win over Grand Rapids South Christian in Division 2 – WWMT
2. GIRLS BASKETBALL Rochester Hills Stoney Creek also is a first-time Regional champion with its 59-45 win over Macomb Dakota in Division 1 – Oakland Press
3. GIRLS BASKETBALL Tecumseh won its first Regional title in 49 seasons, defeating reigning Division 2 champion Lansing Catholic 56-52 – Adrian Daily Telegram
4. GIRLS BASKETBALL Grand Blanc edged Clarkston 44-42 in Division 1 to claim its first Regional championship since 1977 – WJRT
5. GIRLS BASKETBALL Belleville defeated Canton 61-23 in Division 1 to win its first Regional title since 2001 – Detroit News
