Class C honorable mention Calumet handed Manistique its first and only loss this season in Tuesday’s Regional Semifinal – Houghton Daily Mining Gazette

Laingsburg came back after losing the first set to Delton Kellogg on Tuesday to advance in Class C; the Wolfpack has won a school-record 42 matches and will play for its first Regional title – Lansing State Journal

3. GIRLS GOLF Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central shot a 354 to edge Spring Lake by a stroke and win its Ranger Invitational – Grand Haven Tribune

4. GIRLS GOLF Grace Slocum won her third tournament already this season, in also leading Traverse City St. Francis to its home invitational team title – Traverse City Record-Eagle

5. BOYS SOCCER Troy edged rival Troy Athens 2-1 in an Oakland Activities Association Red opener – Oakland Press

6. BOYS SOCCER Bad Axe improved to 2-0 with a 3-0 win over Unionville-Sebewaing – Huron Daily Tribune

7. BOYS SOCCER McBain Northern Michigan Christian earned its first win this season, 7-1 over Oscoda – Cadillac News

8. BOYS TENNIS Holland West Ottawa won all of the top eight flights except No. 2 singles in an 8-1 win over Holland High – Holland Sentinel

9. VOLLEYBALL Grass Lake swept North Adams-Jerome to begin its season – Jackson Citizen Patriot

10. BOYS SOCCER Alpena moved to 2-0-1 with a 2-2 draw against Lake Fenton – Alpena News
