Live streaming video of MHSAA Boys Soccer Regional action will be available this week on MHSAA.tv and the NFHS Network from four sites.

Here’s the complete schedule:
 
Division 1 at Troy
Tuesday – Oct. 22 - Semifinals

Clinton Township Chippewa Valley v. Rochester Adams – 7 PM
Thursday – Oct. 24 – FINAL – 6 PM
 
Division 1 at West Bloomfield
Tuesday – Oct. 22 – Semifinals
Grand Blanc v. Novi – 5 PM
Detroit Catholic Central v. Clarkston – 7 PM
Saturday – Oct. 26 – FINAL – NOON
 
Division 3 at Clare
Wednesday – Oct. 23 – Semifinals
Elk Rapids v. Gladwin – 6 PM
Muskegon Orchard View v. Ludington – 8 PM
Saturday – Oct. 26 – FINAL – 1 PM
 
Division 4 at Chesaning

Looking ahead to next week, live video streams will be available from the following Semifinal sites: Division 1 – Troy, Division 2 – Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, Division 3 – Cedar Springs, Division 4 – Troy Athens.

All Regional and Semifinal games are produced by participants in the School Broadcast Program using Pixellot – the NFHS Network’s automated streaming solution. All games will be shown on a subscription basis. NFHS Network subscriptions begin at $10.99 a month. Subscribers will have access to all live video and streaming statistics across the country. All content becomes available for free, on-demand viewing 72 hours after being shown live.  

Student Broadcasters Make Their Calls at Comerica

Sports broadcasting students from Montrose, Davison and Lowell high schools attended Thursday’s Detroit Tigers/Oakland A’s game at Comerica Park – and got a chance to practice calling the game.

The students recorded themselves doing the play-by-play and color commentary. Meanwhile, Bally Sports Detroit reporter Johnny Kane interviewed Montrose’s Danny Sackrider and Owen Leitelt during the game and gave the duo a chance to show off their best home run call.

Sackrider and Leitelt recently were named the Best Sports Announcing Team in the high school division by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. Their home runs calls are part of the interview below:
