Lake Orion SBP Named Nation's Best

Lake Orion High’s School Broadcast Program – previously named “Program of the Year” statewide as part of the MHSAA Excellence Awards – was named Thursday as the nation’s best SBP by the NFHS Network.
Lake Orion previously had received “Select School” recognition for production from the NFHS Network.
Additionally, Rockford High School's SBP was selected for Best Original Programming.

In its 10th year, the School Broadcast Program gives members an opportunity to showcase excellence in their schools by creating video programming of athletic and non-athletic events, with students gaining skills in announcing, camera operation, directing/producing and graphics. The SBP also gives schools the opportunity to raise money through advertising and viewing subscriptions.
4 Football Games Added to Weekend Broadcasts

Four additional football games have been added to the live streaming video schedule on the MHSAA.tv and FOXSportsDetroit.com websites this weekend.
Games added to the schedule are: McBain at Traverse City St. Francis, Constantine at Hillsdale, Fowlerville at Flint Powers Catholic and Cassopolis at Reading.
This weekend’s coverage starts tonight with a number of District Finals in Girls Volleyball before Football Playoff action begins with three featured games on the FOX Sports Detroit Prep Zone. The Prep Zone games can be seen on FoxSportsDetroit.com and on FOX Sports Go! for handheld and streaming devices like Roku. Here are this weekend games, all at 7 p.m. Friday:
- East Kentwood at Brighton (Div. 1)
- Detroit Cass Tech at Dearborn Fordson (Div. 1)
- Fenton at Walled Lake Western (Div. 2)
