Follow Stats Live on NFHS Network

September 7, 2016

By John Johnson
MHSAA Communications Director

Each week, football fans can track the progress of a number of games across the state on the MHSAA.tv website through the NFHS Network’s partnership with Digital Scout.

Schools using Digital Scout to record game statistics can connect that game to the online crowd, and if the game has live streaming video, the two feeds will be integrated. Viewers must have a subscription to be able to access the live content. More than 40 football games this Friday (Sept. 9) are scheduled to stream live stats.

The NFHS Network has announced new pricing for 2016-17, eliminating the Day Pass and lowering the cost of a Month Pass to $9.95. Subscribers will have access to all live video and streaming statistics across the country. All content becomes available for free, on demand viewing 72 hours after being shown live. Some schools also will be selling Annual Passes at a discounted rate. A portion of every subscription sold by a school goes to benefit its program.

Here’s this week’s MHSAA.tv schedule of video streams available being produced by SBP members, as well as live stats from MHSAA member schools using Digital Scout:

Now in its eighth year, the School Broadcast Program gives members an opportunity to showcase excellence in their schools by creating video programming of athletic and non-athletic events with students gaining skills in announcing, camera operation, directing/producing and graphics. The program also gives schools the opportunity to raise money through advertising and viewing subscriptions.

Schools interested in becoming a part of the School Broadcast Program should contact John Johnson at the MHSAA Office.

A weekly staple on the MHSAA.tv website and the MHSAASports Channel on YouTube is back for another year with highlights of selected games last week produced by members of the Association’s School Broadcast Program.

This week’s highlights package consists of clips from football games between Rochester Hills Stoney Creek at Lake Orion, South Haven at Dowagiac and Montrose at Clio.

Watch Girls Hoops Quarters on MHSAA TV

March 12, 2018

By John Johnson
MHSAA Director of Broadcast Properties

For the second straight year, MHSAA.tv will stream all 16 games of Tuesday’s (March 13) MHSAA Girls Basketball Quarterfinal Round.

Most of the games will be streamed by schools participating in the School Broadcast Program, and will consist of single-camera coverage with natural sound and a scorebug graphic.

Here’s the complete schedule.  All games start at 7 p.m. (EDT) unless otherwise indicated:

Class A

Class B

Class C

Class D

The continued basketball coverage is part of six straight weekends of live MHSAA Championship coverage on MHSAA.tv, and online viewers can catch every weekend of action for one low cost of $9.95. A subscription purchased this week will be good for coverage of the Girls Basketball Semifinals on Thursday and Friday (March 15-16) and next week’s Boys Basketball Quarterfinals and Semifinals.

In its ninth year, the School Broadcast Program gives members an opportunity to showcase excellence in their schools by creating video programming of athletic and non-athletic events, with students gaining skills in announcing, camera operation, directing/producing and graphics. Pixellot – The NFHS Network’s automated streaming solution – is used by schools wishing to live stream games, but lacking the ability to staff the events. The program also gives schools the opportunity to raise money through advertising and viewing subscriptions.

A complete list of participating schools can be found on the School Broadcast Program page of the MHSAA website.
