District volleyball play kicked off all over Michigan on Monday, beginning that sport's three-week playoff run to Battle Creek.

Longtime Marquette cross country and track & field coach Dale Phillips announced his retirement after 44 years and many MHSAA championship runs – Marquette Mining Journal

3. GIRLS SOCCER Top-ranked Spring Lake earned a Division 2 Final berth with a 1-0 win over Holland Christian – Grand Haven Tribune

4. GIRLS SOCCER Top-ranked Hudsonville Unity Christian will return to the Division 3 championship match thanks to a 5-0 win over No. 14 Freeland – Grand Rapids Press
