Boys soccer teams moved to within one more win of the season’s final week Wednesday, and a pair of volleyball matches may end up impacting league races as that sport rolls toward the end of its regular season.
1. Boys soccer: No. 5 Byron Center got past Muskegon Reeths-Puffer 1-0 in Division 2 to advance to the Regional Final round for the first time – FOX 17
2. Volleyball: Division 2 No. 8 Ida handed honorable mention Onsted its first Lenawee County Athletic Association loss, keeping the Wildcats from clinching the league title – Adrian Daily Telegram
3. Volleyball: Traverse City Central came back after losing the first set to win the next three against Division 2 honorable mention Cadillac to give itself a chance at a possible Big North Conference title share – Traverse City Record-Eagle
4. Prep Soccer: Top-ranked Okemos scored five first-half goals on the way to a 7-4 Division 1 Regional Semifinal win over Grand Haven – Lansing State Journal
5. Prep Soccer: No. 15 Elk Rapids scored all four of its goals during the second half to come back from a one-goal deficit and defeat Gladwin 4-1 in a Division 3 Regional Semifinal – Up North Live
6. Prep Soccer: Ludington took Muskegon Orchard View to overtime before finishing a 1-0 Division 3 Regional Semifinal win – Ludington Daily News
7. Prep Soccer: Salem advanced in its Division 1 Regional with a 3-0 win over Dearborn – Observer & Eccentric
8. Prep Soccer: Melvindale advanced to a Division 2 Regional Final with a 3-1 win over Tecumseh – Southgate News-Herald
