You can bring cutting-edge sports nutrition and training information to your town -- sign up today to coordinate a down-site for the Nutrition Solutions for Sports Performance video conference, conducted by the MHSAA and the United Dairy Industry of Michigan.

This statewide satellite video conference will be broadcast on September 27, at 7 p.m. Luther Ellis, defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions, will share his personal experiences as he addresses the role of motivation and a positive attitude in achieving athletic success.

Two nationally recognized sports nutritionists and registered dietitians, Ruth Carey and Jackie Berning, will provide insight into ways to fuel athletic performance. Michigan State University's Tim Wakeham, assistant strength and conditioning coach, will share his expertise and the role nutrition plays in conditioning.

The video conference is geared toward coaches of all sports, nutrition educators, food service personnel, and anyone interested in improving athletic performance. The video conference supports the Sports Nutrition Award Program, sponsored by the MHSAA and the UDIM.
