FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Oct. 20, 2008 FSN Detroit To Air Selection Sunday Show EAST LANSING, Mich. – Oct. 21 – High school football teams around the state will huddle around their television sets on Sunday (October 26) at 6:30 p.m. (EDT) to find out the qualifiers and pairings for the 2008 Michigan High School Athletic Association Football Playoffs during the Selection Sunday Show, exclusively on FSN Detroit. The MHSAA is a private, not-for-profit corporation of voluntary membership by over 1,600 public and private senior high schools and junior high/middle schools which exists to develop common rules for athletic eligibility and competition. No government funds or tax dollars support the MHSAA, which was the first such association nationally to not accept membership dues or tournament entry fees from schools. Member schools which enforce these rules are permitted to participate in MHSAA tournaments, which attract approximately 1.6 million spectators each year. -0- Farm Bureau Insurance, Farmers Insurance & the MEEMIC Insurance Company
