Basketball Tournament Scores and Brackets Now Online

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Feb. 19 – Basketball fans can keep up with nightly game scores and bracket updates from Michigan High School Athletic Association postseason tournament action this winter on the MHSAA Web site.

Tournament managers are now able to post their District Tournament draws, and update those draws immediately following games with final scores.  Basketball is the first sport in which the new programming is being launched, and this feature will eventually be used for additional MHSAA tournaments.

Scores can be accessed from the home page of the MHSAA Web site – mhsaa.com.  From the Scores page site visitors can access a list of District sites, where they can click to see brackets of individual District sites, and get a map with directions to that site.

The MHSAA is a private, not-for-profit corporation of voluntary membership by over 1,800 public and private senior high schools and junior high/middle schools which exists to develop common rules for athletic eligibility and competition.  No government funds or tax dollars support the MHSAA, which was the first such association nationally to not accept membership dues or tournament entry fees from schools.  Member schools which enforce these rules are permitted to participate in MHSAA tournaments, which attract approximately 1.6 million spectators each year.
