Brother Rice won in football and boys lacrosse; Cranbrook-Kingswood won in ice hockey and boys lacrosse; Renaissance won in boys and girls basketball, becoming the fourth school ever to pull off the boys-girls double in basketball in a school year; and DeLaSalle won in boys bowling and boys soccer. Marquette again won six total titles; while Ann Arbor Pioneer and Ishpeming Westwood each won four championships, and Cranbrook-Kingswood won three titles. Eighteen of the MHSAA's 28 championship tournaments are unified, involving teams from the Upper and Lower Peninsulas, while separate competition to determine titlists in both Peninsulas is conducted in the other 10 sports.
