FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - March 2, 2006 Boys Basketball Finals Tickets Now On Sale EAST LANSING , Mich. - March 2 - Tickets for the 2006 Michigan High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball Semifinals and Finals are now available exclusively through the Breslin Student Events Center Box Office. The Semifinals will take place in the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing on March 23 and 24, with the Finals on March 25. The Class C Semifinals will take place in a doubleheader on March 23, with games at 1 and 2:50 p.m. The Class D Semis are that evening, with games at 6 and 7:50 p.m. On March 24, the Class A Semifinals begin the day with a twin bill at 1 and 2:50 p.m.; followed by games in Class B at 6 and 7:50 p.m. Tickets for all Semifinal games are $6 each per session. Tickets for Final games on March 25 are sold in an all-day package, priced at $21. The Class D-C doubleheader leads off the day, with the D championship at 10 a.m., with the C title game to follow at about noon. At 4 p.m., the Class A Finals will be contested; and the Class B session winds up the weekend at 8 p.m. Single session tickets for the Finals will be sold during the Semifinals, subject to availability. Single session final tickets are $7.00 each. There will be a Breslin Center ticket system charge of 75 cents for each ticket purchased added to the base price. Tickets may be obtained by mail at the following address: Breslin Student Events Center Box Office, One Birch Road, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824. Make checks payable to Michigan State University. There is a Breslin Center processing fee of $2.50 added to all orders placed by telephone and mail. Tickets may also be ordered through the Breslin Center Web site – www.breslincenter.com. A service charge will also be applied for Internet orders. Spectators attending the event are also advised that Michigan State University will charge $7 per vehicle for parking. The MHSAA is a private, not-for-profit corporation of voluntary membership by over 1,800 public and private senior high schools and junior high/middle schools which exists to develop common rules for athletic eligibility and competition. No government funds or tax dollars support the MHSAA, which was the first such association nationally to not accept membership dues or tournament entry fees from schools. Member schools which enforce these rules are permitted to participate in MHSAA tournaments, which attract approximately 1.6 million spectators each year.
