Boys Basketball Finals Tickets Go On Sale Today

EAST LANSING, Mich. – March 1 Public sale of tickets for the 2004 Michigan High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball Semifinals and Finals begins today exclusively through the Breslin Student Events Center Box Office.

The semifinals will take place in the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing on March 25 and 26, with the finals on March 27. The Class C semifinals will take place in a doubleheader on March 25, with games at 1 and 2:50 p.m. The Class D semis are that evening, with games at 6 and 7:50 p.m. On March 26, the Class A semifinals begin the day with a twin bill at 1 and 2:50 p.m.; followed by games in Class B at 6 and 7:50 p.m.

Tickets for all semifinal games are $6.00 each per session.

Tickets for final games on March 27 are sold in an all-day package, priced at $21.00. The Class D-C doubleheader leads off the day, with the D championship at 10 a.m. , with the C title game to follow at about noon . At 4 p.m. , the Class A finals will be contested; and the Class B session winds up the weekend at 8 p.m.

Single session tickets for the finals will be sold during the semifinals, subject to availability. Single session final tickets are $7.00 each.

The MHSAA is a private, not-for-profit corporation of voluntary membership by over 1,200 public and private senior high schools and junior high/middle schools which exists to develop common rules for athletic eligibility and competition. No government funds or tax dollars support the MHSAA, which was the first such association nationally to not accept membership dues or tournament entry fees from schools. Member schools which enforce these rules are permitted to participate in MHSAA tournaments, which attract approximately 1.6 million spectators each year.
