Beginning the evening of September 24, and on every Tuesday prior to the final game of the regular season, the Michigan High School Athletic Association will release a list of those teams in contention for the MHSAA Football Playoffs, listed in enrollment order, and their playoff point averages. This list will only be available on the MHSAA Web Site.

Here is a small sample of how the weekly listings will read:

Each week, all teams with three or more victories will be included. The first release next week will probably only include about 230 teams with at least three victories. It is expected that over 400 schools will be listed after Week 8. As the list grows, it will become clearer where teams may fall in the enrollment spectrum when broken into divisions on Selection Sunday, October 27.

As in past years, schools and media should review the list carefully, and report possible errors to the MHSAA office.
