EAST LANSING, Mich. - April 2 - High school sports fans can catch the highlights of two Michigan High School Athletic Association championship events, as well as replays of the recent Boys Basketball Finals, during the month of April on Fox Sports Net Detroit.

Topping the schedule are the airings of highlights of the MHSAA Lower Peninsula Individual Wrestling Finals, which took place on March 10 in Detroit; and the Girls Volleyball Finals, which were played March 17 in Kalamazoo. The Lower Peninsula Individual Wrestling Finals highlights will have their initial playback on April 7, with the Division 1 and 2 program airing at 2 p.m. (EDT); followed by the highlights of the Division 3 and 4 finals at 3 p.m. Encore presentations are scheduled for April 26, with the Division 1 and 2 program at Noon, and the Division 3 and 4 highlights at 1 p.m.; May 20 at 3 p.m. for the Division 1 and 2 highlights; and May 27 at 2 p.m. for the Division 3 and 4 highlights.

For the first time on Fox Sports Net, highlights of the Girls Volleyball Finals, produced by the MHSAA, will air in an hour-long package on April 15 from 5 to 6 p.m. The show will include highlights from all four championship matches, as well as features on Marysville High School's run for five consecutive championships; and on the CHAMPS Clinic for junior high/middle school students and Legends of the Games presentation that took place at the Finals. Encore presentations are scheduled for May 6 at 11 a.m., May 30, June 13, June 20 and June 27 at 2 p.m., and June 30 at 3 p.m. The Fox highlights program follows the airing of the championships matches in their entirety on six on-air television stations on the MHSAA Championship Network in Michigan and Northern Ohio during the past two weeks.

Encore presentations of the Boys Basketball Finals from March 24 will also air on Fox Sports Net during April on the following schedule: Class D - Covert vs. Marion, April 5, Noon; Class C - Charlevoix vs. Kalamazoo Christian, April 11, Noon; Class A - Kalamazoo Central vs. Pontiac Northern, April 18, Noon; and Class B - Coopersville vs. Detroit Crockett, April 25, Noon.

The MHSAA is a private, not-for-profit corporation of voluntary membership by over 1,300 public and private senior high schools and junior high/middle schools which exists to develop common rules for athletic eligibility and competition. No government funds or tax dollars support the MHSAA, which was the first such association nationally to not accept membership dues or tournament entry fees from schools. Member schools which enforce these rules are permitted to participate in MHSAA tournaments, which attract approximately 1.6 million spectators each year.
